Technical Requirements For Steel Structure Cladding Materials

1. GB 51022-2015 Technical Code For Steel Structure of Light-weight Building with Gabled Frames 11.1.10:

The lap position of the roof panel along the length direction should be put on the roof purlin, the lap length should not be less than 150mm, and make waterproof well at the lap place; while the lap length of the wall panel should not be less than 120mm.

2. GB 50896-2013 Technical Code For Application of Profiled Metal Sheet

The roof slope of corrugated steel sheet shall comply with the following provisions:

1) Determined by calculation according to the roof structure form, roof panel type, connection structure, drainage mode and the climatic conditions;

2) Roof slope should not be less than 5%;

When the corrugated steel sheet is connected with fasteners, the roof slope should not be less than 10%;

3) In the corrosive dust environment, the slope of corrugated metal roof should not be less than 10%;

When the corrosive grade is strong, medium environment, the slope of roof should not be less than 8%;

4) When determining the roof slope of metal plate, the relationship between the wave height of pressed metal plate and drainage capacity shall be considered. 

When the roof is higher than 50mm, the roof slope shall not be less than 5%; when the wave height of the roof panel is less than 30mm, the roof slope shall not be less than 45%;

The slope of the fully welded roof shall not be less than 2%.

3. GB 50352-2019, Uniform Standard For Design of Civil Buildings

The roof drainage slope shall be determined according to the roof structure form, roof base type, waterproof structure form, material performance and local climate conditions, and shall comply with the following provisions:

1) The roof should not be less than 3% of the structure, and the building should not be less than 2%;

2) If the slope of the tile surface is more than 10% and the strong wind and seismic fortification intensity is greater than 7 degrees, fixed measures should be taken to prevent the tile material from falling;

3) The longitudinal slope of the waterproof rolls roof eaves and gutter should not be less than 1%, and the metal roof collection ditch can have no slope;

4) When the slope of the planting roof is greater than 20%, fixed and sliding measures should be taken.

4. GB 50205-2020 Standard For Acceptance of Construction Quality of Steel Structures

When the length direction of the roof and wall steel sheet is connected, the lap end should be set on the supporting components (such as purlin, wall beams, etc.), and should be reliably connected with the supporting components.

When screws or rivets are used to fix the lap, the lap part should be provided with waterproof sealing tape.

The lap length of the length direction of the pressed metal plate should meet the design requirements, and when the welding lap is used, the lap length of the pressed metal plate should not be less than 50mm.
